About Me

In Charlie's Cabana we offer dog daycare and boarding.

But not any service. We know how horrible it feels to leave your pal behind for a while, and not being able to check on them at any time, because of this we have planned their whole stay ahead, in order to give you peace of mind and give them the most comfy stay, doesn’t matter if it’s for a couple of hours or a long period of time.

We are located in Wildwood, just outside The Villages.

Our company offers boarding and daycare for dogs. Our resort is a crate free facility with 24/7 video and audio surveillance, which helps us to permanently keep a close eye on your dog. We are animal lovers, and we’ll always take care of your pal as if it were our own, making everything we possibly can to make them feel as in home.

Our outdoor play area is equipped to provide the highest wellbeing; synthetic turf for optimal hygiene, sprinklers to cool down turf before doggies go out, a pool for those who like to dive and awnings for shade.

Pet Daycare FAQ

What are the vaccination requirements?

Dogs must have Rabies, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccines up to date before check in. Canine Influenza is not required but is strongly recommended. As a best practice, shots should be received 2 weeks prior to check in.

How are you keeping my pet(s) safe?

While the mystery illness for dogs has many unknowns including how to 100% prevent it, here are some steps we are taking to minimize exposure. We ask every pet parent to sign off that their pet has shown no signs of sickness within the last 48 hours. We will conduct a nonveterinary visual wellness check and vaccination confirmation in the lobby. In the facility we have increased our use of heavy duty commercial 3 stage HEPA air scrubbers, increased our cleaning and disinfectant schedule cycle and have our staff reviewing an enhanced wellness checklist that is updated with any symptoms that are being published by the veterinary community.

When are you open?

We are open  Monday-Sunday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Are dogs required to be spayed / neutered?

No. We serve unaltered dogs with the same care and attention. However we do require for your dog to be spayed / neutered for socialization activities.

Can multiple dogs stay in the same room?

Yes, if dogs currently live together they can share a room.

Should I bring food for my dog?

Yes, to avoid upset bellies we require for you to bring pre-bagged food. This allow us to keep them on the same diet.

Can I bring my pets bed and toys?

Yes, we welcome bed, blanket, and a maximum of 2 toys so they feel as comfortable as possible!

Will you give my pet their medication?

Yes. It must be in veterinary prescription bottles with instructions.

Do you accept aggressive pets in the facility?

We do not accept aggressive pets. Temperament tests will be performed immediately following check in on all animals to ensure the safety of all pets in the facility.
